Once upon a time there was a boy who loved eggs. He told his
father he wanted to go egging. after that day he and his father
went egging in their kayaks. They went to the first island and
they found 12 eggs. They went to the next island and they saw lots of birds. They checked over there and they found only 2 eggs.
A few weeks later his mother and sister went egging with them. The family split up on different islands. The girl found 12 eggs. The boy found 24 eggs. Their father found 48 eggs and took all of these eggs home. Some of them broke on their way home.
After a few days there were holes in their kayaks. The birds made holes in their kayaks because they took too many of their eggs. The inuk family learned their lesson not to take so many eggs. After that happened the Inuk family took only what they needed. In a few weeks most of the eggs that they left behind hatched.
