It all started in a tribe in North America. The tribe was called Tribe Nee-chi. The chief was called chief Shadotai (Shad-o-tie). He was well respected in the tribe but he was getting very old. The chief thought that he would only last for one more year.
But Shadotai wanted to stay chief for 10 more years. But the villagers were worried about him because he would not eat any food. All he would do was sit in the sweat lodge and sing to the spirits. The villagers thought that he might be asking for a sign to stay 10 more years as the chief.
But they were worried that he might be starving to death. On the tenth day Shadotai finally came out of the sweat lodge. He only weighed about 90lbs. So the villagers sent for baskets of food, but the chief refused to eat! The chief got his answer he must die before he could get his wish. So when the time came for him to pass away his wife said that she would make him the best leather and beaded clothes the village had ever seen.
For the next 3 days the wife worked and worked on the clothes. When the day came for the clothes to be put on the chief he had died. But she had enough time to dress the chief in the clothes but just as she had finished dressing him a mystical spirit came and asked the wife to told him what was the wish that the chief wanted.
But before the mystical being granted the wish it told the wife what his name was the name was the Spirit Eagle. All of a sudden there was a big puff of smoke and the chief came back to life and the Spirit was gone.
The End
